An engineering student at Mines Nantes, Joffrey has been working under professors Louis-Martin Rousseau and Nadia Lahrichi as part of his last internship dedicated to the design and coding in Java of a patient flow simulator in a radiation therapy center. A non-negligible proportion of radiation therapy treatments are done beyond the recommended time ranges by experts. The causes of those delays are not only medical related but also found in the processes, quantities of resources, appointment policy, and so on. A simulator is a mean to test changes in those causes in order to make recommendations to the healthcare center. The originality of the project resides in the genericity of the simulator, its maintainability and its adaptability to a given center.
