Ilitea Kina is an emergency physician currently working at Sunnybrook
Health Sciences Centre. She has completed a research training program
at the University of Montreal as part of the Clinician-Scholar
Residency Program and is currently a research fellow at Sunnybrook,
where she is furthering her expertise in integrating artificial
intelligence into emergency medicine.
Ilitea has also completed a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics
under the guidance of Professors Louis-Martin Rousseau and Nadia
Lahrichi, focusing on hospital logistics and the prevention of
overcrowding in emergency departments. Building on this work, Ilitea
is now pursuing a PhD in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique
Montreal, supervised by the same professors. Her research interests
lie in leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize hospital
logistics and improve patient care in emergency settings.
