After obtaining her PhD in Operations Research at KU Leuven, Belgium, Tu-San Pham worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the same university before joining Polytechnique Montréal in November 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Louis-Martin Rousseau. During her PhD, Tu-San studied hybrid methods that combine techniques from both Artificial Intelligent and Operations Research. At Polytechnique Montreal, as a member of HANALOG (the Canadian research chair on analytics and logistics of healthcare), she applies her knowledge of hybrid methods to optimize the design and delivery of healthcare. She has been working on multiple projects to improve the quality of care at several hospitals and health centres in Montréal, Canada. Her current research interest focuses on incorporating stochastic factors in decision-making under uncertainty and their applications in appointment scheduling.
